Coins 4 Kids
Today, thousands of children in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya will go to school hungry.
Distracted and weakened by empty stomachs, these children have little hope of completing their education and breaking out of the cycle of poverty. Many will be kept home to work or care for younger siblings, while others will simply run out of the few dollars required for tuition.
With Coins 4 Kids, you can make a difference. This volunteer fundraising initiative is based around coin collection cups, modeled after the red cup that symbolizes WFP’s commitment to fighting child hunger. Just 25 cents is enough to feed one hungry child in school for a day. When filled, every Coins 4 Kids cup can hold enough money to feed two children for an entire school year.
You can also start your own Coins 4 Kids online fundraising campaign, and invite family and friends to contribute to your goal of feeding hungry children.
