Cargill: Fighting Hunger in the Horn
Cargill and WFP USA, with support from the American public, brought more than 22 million pounds of rice—enough to feed nearly one million people for one month—to people who are suffering from hunger in the Horn of Africa.

For the past nine years, World Food Program USA has hosted an annual awards ceremony to recognize policy makers and other leaders who have played a critical role in the fight against global hunger. WFP USA is honored this year to recognize the accomplishments of Bill Gates and Howard Buffett with the George McGovern Leadership Award for its 10th Annual Awards Ceremony.
