WFP Serves

The Most Vulnerable People

We deliver food to vulnerable populations around the world in crisis situations, including women, children and refugees.

The Hungriest of the Hungry

From displaced families and schoolchildren to subsistence farmers and refugees, we delivered nearly 5.5 billion pounds of food to over 124 million people in 2024.

Families in Crisis

Natural disasters, poverty, persecution, conflict and extreme weather turn people’s lives upside down. WFP helps them stay in their homes, get the food they need, build infrastructure and get back on their feet.

Children

Children are innocent victims of the forces that causes hunger. They are the most vulnerable to malnutrition and can face a lifetime of ill health as a result. WFP ensures they get the nutrients and education they deserve.

Women & Girls

In nearly two-thirds of countries around the world, women are more likely than men to suffer from hunger and malnourishment. WFP provides them with the food and resources they need to reach their full potential.

Refugees

Refugees and internally displaced persons have lost everything – their homes, their careers and their way of life. WFP helps meet their basic needs by providing meals along their journey.
